The proposed non-residential rental law:

Motives for appeal, and the need for action for fair legislation.

The Lebanese Parliament has recently approved the proposal to liberalize old non-residential rent. Nonetheless, the government refused to ratify the law, returning it to the parliament pursuant to return decree number 12835, thus asking the parliament to reconsider the law proposal. However, the State Council, and on the 4th of April 2024, issued a decision to halt the return decision. This took place in response to a review submitted by the Association of the Owners of Rented Buildings.

Public Works Studio is hereby expressing its opinion on the subject, as well as the required amendment, for fairer legislation.
